Good evening everyone and welcome to another blog.
As we know, the month of February is all about love with Valentine's Day just around the corner. I was going to start off with the idea of writing a love letter for that special someone in our lives but I decided to save that for next week's blog.
So today, I wanted to talk about the weather. Here in the Midwest, there is snow and ice as far as the eye can see. In Missouri, we have quite a bit of snow but if you live in states like Ohio and New York, y'all are seeing a lot more snow than us. I have received several stories from friends and family back home telling me of the terrible weather that Winter Storm Linus brought to their front door. I personally think that is a terrible name for a winter storm but that's because Linus is one of my favorite comic characters from Peanuts...but I digress.
In conclusion, my writing challenge for you today is to write a short story about the worst storm you have experienced in your lifetime. It can be a natural disaster or something personal that you felt was like a storm, leaving you devastated and alone. I can go on and on about examples of storm stories but I will leave the creativity to you writers out there.
So what are you waiting for? Get out our laptops, your pens and paper, and create a masterpiece!
Have a wonderful week and stay warm, Midwest!
With love always,
Megan Marie
